It’s been a very busy year, as always, for all of us. Some great adventures and everyone on the move.
Jackson had his last year at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School. He is now finishing high school at home and loving the changes. It’s been a much better fit for him and all of us, and it’s going great. He has also been enjoying working with his friends that all love rockets and space, doing animations and simulations, talking through the latest news, and getting that information out there. He’s attended several launches up at Cape Canaveral through the year; the later ones he has been driving us up to! Jackson got his license in the middle of the summer and is doing a great job driving around. Jackson also spent a lot of time making a special hourglass that could break apart and light up as a prop for one of Ali’s performances this year. More on that later!!

Viviana also had her last day of school at Stoneman in the spring. She is now attending Broward College for her junior and senior year of high school and taking college classes so she will have her college associate’s degree by the time she graduates high school!! She is also loving the change, and since she got her license over the summer too, she is now driving herself to and from school every day for her classes. She’s been making new friends, joined the coffee club at school, and other organizations, and it’s loving it. She started dating her boyfriend at the end of last year, and they are still having a lot of fun.

Ali has also had a very busy year. She has been in many performances, which started with Chicago at the start of the year, Mathilda in the spring, and Freaky Friday not long after that. But over the summer, she really embraced her love of theater and went to a summer camp for performing arts. She stayed there on her own in upstate New York for 3 weeks and had a great time. Of course, she also had another performance during her time at camp. To get Ali to camp, Heather flew up with her to NYC to see some shows and the town. Brian and Jackson flew to Raleigh, North Carolina. Brian dropped Jackson off at the home of one of his friends that was just graduating from high school. He stayed there for the weekend and got to meet many of his other friends that he had only known online up until that point. After the weekend, Jackson flew back home by himself and took an Uber back to the house. Brian then flew to NYC to join in the fun. Overall, Ali got to see 8 shows in 5 days and had a great time. Then, Brian and Heather flew back up to watch Ali’s performances at the end and bring her home!

We have all gotten some travel in flying up to Massachusetts early on to visit family and enjoy some cold (since we don’t get much/any of that). In the spring, we all headed out to New Orleans and had a great time in that town. Lots of great food, amazing tours, and lots of history (even the ghost tour at night). Even the Mardi Gras museum and swamp tour were awesome. Over the summer, we all took off on our summer cruise around the Caribbean. Lots of fun, just a little bit of gambling, and Brian and Heather ending up with matching outfits (much to Brian’s surprise).

The twins have now turned 17 as they get very close to adulthood. Ali will soon turn 14 – and the time has gone all too fast. Somehow, each of the girls has embraced baking in a big way and are making cookies, cakes, brownies, and other surprises even with friends helping out. As we get ready for 2026, we are trying to be ready for the changes – yet we know there will be lots of surprises ahead – so bring them on!

Happy Holidays to all and we hope everyone is doing well. Hoping our paths cross even more in the coming year and wishing everyone the best!!
